Home and Community-Based Services Waivers are for MassHealth-eligible people who would otherwise need facility-based care. The ABI and MFP waivers are for Massachusetts residents living in nursing facilities or long stay hospitals, who may be able to move out and live more independently with waiver services and supports. Every waiver participant has a waiver case manager or service coordinator to coordinate their services to support successful community living.
