The world changed with COVID-19, which issued a wake up call to use and connect with new technology. UCP’s service delivery model changed with it.
Our Remote Support Services for caregiving and health coordination enables people with disabilities to live more independently. These new tools monitor adult daily living tasks, safety and more, providing peace of mind for individuals with disabilities and their families.
Our new service offers choice for all due to the remote nature of this program. Through the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC), UCP currently support individuals across Massachusetts.

Our Remote Support Program begins with a formal evaluation. Then our AT specialists make recommendations for the right AT tools and monitoring technology to meet specific needs for independent, residential living. That is followed by training and installation to maximize the right for people with disabilities to live a more fulfilling and inclusive life.

- People with disabilities
- Must be referred to UCP by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) area office or by the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC) area office for funding
