Smart Home Assistive Technology to boost personal independence, life skills and self-confidence.

Our Transitional In-home Support Program is designed for adults currently receiving Department of Developmental Services (DDS) services, who are 22 years of age or older.

This program is the way of the future for supported living programming because it places adults with disabilities into apartments that use Smart Home Assistive Technology to increase independence.

In partnership with the MA Department of Developmental Services (DDS), we offer a higher quality of life and independence at a more affordable option. We assess each individual to determine the right technology to support their daily living needs and then we offer extensive life skills training. The goal is to enable adults with disabilities in Western Massachusetts to live in their own apartments, more independently with staff support and oversight.

SMART TECHNOLOGY EXAMPLES

  • Alexa technology to control the room temperature
  • Turning the television and radio on or off remotely
  • Controlling the lights remotely
  • High tech staff oversight utilizing FaceTime, Zoom or Skype

We offer this program in Berkshire County, with future plans for expansion into the Pioneer Valley.
