Family focused programs for people with disabilities and their families in Western MA.

UCP of Western MA offers a wide variety of programs geared to support the entire family. Whether you need help for your child with a disability, or you’re an adult with disabilities, we offer highly personalized services to fit the specific needs of your family.

UCP’S  Family Support Centers offer Service Navigation by providing information and guidance, support groups and comprehensive family training programs like DDS Disability 101. This program is designed for people who are new to the disability market, who may need help navigating the opportunities and benefits offered by the MA Department of Developmental Services (DDS).

The Intensive Flexible Family Support Program (IFFS) is for children and families experiencing  crisis situations. UCP connects the family with vital community resources to enable them to overcome their challenges.

The Department of Elementary Secondary Education is for children with higher levels of need. The goal is to keep them living safely at home with their families, and out of institutional settings and schools.

Disability Resources provides you with a comprehensive directory for individuals with disabilities and their families to help you find the exact assistance you need, when you need it.

PROGRAMS FOR FAMILIES

We solve complex problems. This takes thinking outside the box and having a variety of programming. We’ve come a long way in the disability arena. Agencies used to only have Day Programs. Today we have people with disabilities creating their own customized Employment and Community Integration Programs to suit their personal needs. One new client recently remarked: 'Never in a million years could I imagine we’d have access to so many services for our family.' We hear this all the time at UCP!
