Behavior Support Workshops for Early Childhood Educators

UCP of Western Massachusetts offers Behavior Support Workshops led by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who specializes in early childhood education. Each session blends evidence-based strategies with real-world application, helping teachers and staff create calmer, more inclusive learning environments.

What We Offer

Choose from customizable 4-, 6-, or 8-hour workshops designed for early childhood educators, administrators, and support staff. Every session includes interactive learning, practical strategies, and collaborative discussion.

Workshops are available on-site or virtually and can be paired with an optional 1-hour follow-up consultation to reinforce learning and problem-solve real classroom challenges.

Workshop Topics

Our core modules include five foundational topics. You may select particular areas of interest, or we can tailor a full training program for your team.

Module 1: Trauma-Informed Care – Understand how early experiences shape behavior and learn strategies that promote emotional safety.
Module 2: Applied Behavior Analysis 101 – Build a foundation in understanding behavior through the science of learning.
Module 3: Reinforcement and Punishment – Learn how to strengthen positive behaviors and reduce challenging ones effectively.
Module 4: Pairing and Instructional Control – Foster strong teacher–child relationships that support engagement and cooperation.
Module 5: Teaching Strategies – Discover proactive, evidence-based techniques for teaching new skills and building independence.

All workshop content is finalized collaboratively to meet each center’s goals and staff needs.
