RAMPS

UCP of Western Massachusetts DOES NOT build ramps or have ample UCP funding or resources for ramp purchases.

We do have portable ramps for LOAN through the ATRC MassMATCH Program. These are for 30 days or a specified period ONLY. To be used for short-term accommodation.

UCP ramps are up to 10 ft long. This supports up to a 20 in rise. If the rise is more than 20 inches, it is no longer ADA-compliant and may be unsafe for use. 1:12 slope is preferred, will loan for 2:12 under certain circumstances.

Ramps do not have a railing. Ramps are not locked in place. We do have threshold ramps for loan, but only up to 3 inches for short steps into the house.
A limited amount of ramps are in our inventory and demand for ramps is very high.

UCP does not take any responsibility for use or misuse of the portable ramp.

If you do not know if a portable loaner ramp would work for you, follow the instructions for measuring the rise and see if it falls in the yellow or green areas of the chart.

If your ratio is in the yellow or green areas, we may have a ramp that would work for you. Request the loaner ramp online through the program at www.MassMATCH.at4all.com.

If it falls in the red or above, a longer ramp is needed, and we cannot assist you. Please refer to the following resources for help with longer or permanent ramp installation.
