Brett Goodermote, PhD (Candidate), BCBA, LABA Biography

Brett is a Board Certified and Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst with over 15 years of experience in clinical practice, supervision, and staff training across educational, residential, and community-based settings. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Behavior Analysis at Capella University, further advancing his expertise in the science and dissemination of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Brett specializes in functional behavior assessment, functional and practical functional analysis, behavior intervention planning, and procedural integrity. He has extensive experience supervising and mentoring Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and BCBA candidates and is a trained RBT supervisor and trainer. Notably, Brett has trained over 150 RBTs, achieving a 94.8% first-time exam pass rate and a 98% overall pass rate, reflecting his effectiveness as an educator and mentor.

Throughout his career, Brett has held clinical and leadership roles at organizations including UCP of Western Massachusetts, Positive Behavior Supports Corp., Hillcrest Educational Centers, and Berkshire Family and Individual Resources (BFAIR). His work has included staff development, systems-level training, treatment planning, progress monitoring, and consultative services, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, ethical practice, and compassionate care. Currently, Brett is serving on a Human Rights committee for an adult mental health agency.

Brett is recognized for his strengths in team building, project management, and skill development, as well as his empathetic and practical approach to problem-solving. He is deeply committed to improving the quality of care through evidence-based practice, effective training, and the continued growth of professionals in the field of behavior analysis.
